Scientific Congresses are held every other year, alternating the location between Northern hemisphere and Southern hemisphere countries. These include Conferences and workshops.

The journal FITOPATOLOGIA is being published since 1966, with three issues per year since 2002. Research papers are accepted in the four main languages of the Americas: English, French, Portuguese and Spanish. Abstracts of meetings must be published in one of these languages provided English or Spanish is the main language with a translation of the title being required into the second one.
